Com’n In Hot

Teacher, Trucker, Comedian officially launches with its inaugural episode, and the chemistry between Big Al, Lil L, and Tall T is immediate. No warm-up needed — this crew hits the ground running.

Lil L sets the tone early, recounting a recent car accident at a poorly marked intersection, with her 5-year-old daughter in the back seat. The group unpacks insurance frustrations, airbag trauma, and the very real emotional damage of losing your moral high ground to criticize your spouse's driving — on your anniversary weekend, no less.

Big Al brings the comedy world in, breaking down a two-show run at Film Alley (a movie theater turned comedy venue) in the Austin area, the surprising acoustic challenge of performing in a sound-absorbing theater, and the growth of his student Tom Sanchez, who hosted a live show for the very first time. He also shouts out local San Antonio comics including the hilarious and remarkable Selena Gomez, a blind comedian and former radio DJ who's been turning heads on the local scene. Big Al also opens up about why San Antonio became home — his comedy career, his roots, and the personal decision that ended his marriage.

Tall T keeps it real about life on the road — hauling cars solo through three days of Texas rain, the precision the job demands, and what it's like working outside when everybody else runs from the cold.

From there, the conversation goes wherever it wants: the great toilet seat debate (all three have strong opinions), truck driver strikes and worker power, Amazon vs. mom-and-pop shops, Ozempic and body positivity, HEB vs. every other grocery store on earth, and California tortillas vs. Texas tortillas — a debate that gets surprisingly heated.

Episode 1 sets the tone perfectly: honest, hilarious, and completely unscripted.
