We're back from break — and yes, Grabby gets his Pride Month flowers first. This week one of us officially trades lesson plans for punchlines, resigning as a math staff development teacher to launch Math on the Move tutoring and go all-in on stand-up. We get into the TIA bonus snub, the raise that never came, and the district email that landed her in the principal's office. From there it's a six-week improv deep dive (turns out improv is the nerds and stand-up is the jocks), a moving detour into "The Six" breast cancer benefit show, Big Al's legendary "talk to me in three years" comedy origin story, and a hard-fought debate over whether "born tight" counts as a personality. Mentorship, the Plastic Cup Boyz, Michael Jackson superfandom, school vouchers, and a $15 hosting class round it out. Messy, heartfelt, and exactly as off-the-rails as you'd hope.
